Who am I?

There’s always a moment where it clicks, when the image suddenly feels cinematic, alive, and everything lines up. That’s what I’m chasing. That’s what gives me energy.

WHAT MATTERS

Being on set and "properly in it" is what I love. Collaborating with talented people who push ideas further than expected that sharpens the concept and delivers for the client. The aim is always a calm, focused, and creatively open environment. Since film is inherently collaborative, the most rewarding part is building a team and watching a shared vision evolve into something stronger than any one person could create.

Protecting a creative director’s vision is a priority; understanding it, shielding it, and expanding it while staying true to the core. For producers, the focus is on solving the practical side early. Fifteen years of experience, ranging from lighting tech to Gaffer to DoP + Director, provides the toolkit to make ideas feel bigger, whether on a stripped-back setup or a large-scale production.

THE WORK

Audiences across the UK and beyond have seen my work in cinemas, on TV, and at iconic locations like the Tate Modern, Glastonbury Festival and Times Square NYC. However, the true metric of success is creating something that actually stays with a viewer.

Whether I’m DoP or Director, the style I’m known for sits between the real and the surreal: grounded in honest, character-driven moments but pushed into heightened, cinematic worlds. There is a mix of precision and dark whimsy, influenced by the gothic imagination of Tim Burton, the meticulousness mise-en scene of Wes Anderson, the unpredictability of David Lynch, and the character-driven worlds of the Coen Brothers. Starting out in documentary shaped an eye for natural performances, while a deep technical background in lighting allows for the design of looks ranging from raw and gritty to highly stylized.

Curiosity often leads down creative rabbit holes—3D design, animation, or new modes of storytelling—and that energy is brought directly into projects.

WHO & WHAT I’M CALLING IN

At the core of it all is the desire to make films that pull people in. The ambition isn't just to produce "content," but to create something people emotionally invest in. That is the work that excites me, and the caliber of people I want to create with.
